Lee Wins MAC Weekly Honors
BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo men’s freshman diver Patrick Lee (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) has been named as the Mid-American Conference Men’s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week. The league announced the honor on Tuesday.

Lee broke the school one-meter diving record with a 308.93 point total over six dives in UB’s 128-95 win over Niagara on December 12. Up to that point, his season-best total had been 271.50, set last month at the Pittsburgh Invitational. The freshman eclipsed the old mark of 305.55 set by Brian Baggett in 1991. Baggett’s six-dive performance was one of longest-standing records in the UB men’s swimming annals.
He also won the three-meter competition against Niagara with his six-dive total of 304.80 to sweep the diving events.
The Bulls are off for exams and the Christmas holidays. UB returns to the water with another dual meet against Niagara on January 14.
