Bulls Break Six Pool Records in Victory at NiagaraThe Bulls' men's swimming team smashed six pool records in a 151-71 win over Niagara on Tuesday, Dec. 7 in their final action before the Holiday break. The Bulls' record-breaking performances were led by senior Kevin Kelly (Webster, NY) who broke both the 500 freestyle (4:42.29) and the 1,000 freestyle (9:38.30) previous pool times in a double victory performance. Meanwhile, teammates John Nilles (Staten Island, NY), Dan Hickey (Brockport, NY), Dexter Tatum (Gainesville, GA) and Josh Pun (Edmonton, Alberta) also set new pool records. Nilles won the 50 free in :21.22; Hickey the 200 free in 1:39.79, Tatum the 200 individual medley in 2:00.74 and Pun the 200 butterfly in 1:57.82. The win improved the Bulls to 2-1 in dual meets on the season. They will next see action at Atlantic 10 power St. Bonaventure on Jan. 15th in Olean, NY.
