The UB Bulls men's swimming team opened their 1999-2000 season against Mid-American Conference opponent Ohio this past weekend (11/6) on a winning note as they downed OU 330-309. The top performer for Coach Bud Termin's squad was senior Dan Hickey (Brockport, NY/Brockport) who placed first in the 100 Freestyle (46.56), 200 Freestyle (1:41.80), and the 200 Freestyle relay (1:26.73) along with John Nilles (Staten Island, NY), Jose Moncion (New York, NY) and Pat Qunilan (North Tonawanda, NY).
Other notable performances came from Jason McLachlan (Arvada, CO) who had first-place finishes in the 200 Backstroke (1:54.60) and the 1650 Freestyle (16:33.07).
