Bulls Complete MAC Championships in Fifth Place

The Bulls finished the Mid-American Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in fifth place as the three-day meet concluded at the Ohio Aquatic Center. The Bulls posted 259 points while Miami (Ohio) broke Eastern Michigan's string of six consecutive team championships, scoring 888.5 points to hold off the Eagles' 881. Ohio (572.5), Ball State (491) and UB rounded out the field. The 259 points scored by the Bulls was four shy of last season’s total of 263. However, at this season’s meet, UB’s roster consisted of just 11 athletes while 15 scored for the Bulls in the 2005 meet.

Lynch also reached the championship final in the three-meter event. Lynch scored the second-most points (310.90) in Friday's opening round and finished sixth in Saturday night's finals with a six-dive total of 277.40 points.
