McLachlan Earns MAC HonorBUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo's Jason McLachlan (Arvarda, CO) was named the Mid-American Conference's Men's Swimmer of the Week, the league announced. McLachlan, a senior mechanical engineering major, earned the award after a pair of fourth place finishes in the East Coast Athletic Conference Championships held in Sewell, N.J. last weekend. McLachlan took fourth in the 500 freestyle in 4:37.98 and the 400 individual medley in 4:04.46. His 500 freestyle time is the fastest by a Bull this season and he is the top Bulls' swimmer in the 200 freestyle (1:43.92), the 1650 freestyle (16:04.49) and 400 individual medley (4:03.33) this season. The Bulls placed 8th out of 32 teams at the meet finishing with 186 points. This is McLachlan's second time winning the MAC honors. He also accomplished the feat for the week ending December 12, 2000. The Bulls head into the Mid-American Conference Championships at Miami's Corwin
