UB Feels First MAC Loss

The Bulls lost their perfect Mid-American Conference record and fell to 7-3 overall and 5-2 in the MAC in their final home meet of the season. The Bulls lost to Miami, 157-86, and Eastern Michigan, 167-76 in the double dual meet. Eastern Michigan edged out Miami 130-113.

Hickey, Bulls Lone Winner, and Other Seniors Honored

Dan Hickey (Brockport, NY) was the lone winner for Coach Budd Termin's team as he captured top honors in the 200 freestyle (1:40.96). Hickey along with other seniors Kevin Kelly (Webster, NY), Jose Moncion (New York, NY), John Nilles (Staten Island, NY), and Dave Sofer (Brooklyn, NY) were recognized for their contributions to the UB swimming and diving program during the meet.

Termin Receives 100-Win Plaque

Coach Termin was also praised in a pre-meet ceremony as he was presented with a plaque by University President William Greiner and Athletic Director Bob Arkeilpane for earning his 100th victory in a double dual meet against Bowling Green and Ball State (1/22).

Buffalo on Hiatus Until Conference Championships

The Bulls now gear up for the MAC Championships that will be hosted by Bowling Green on March 2-4.
