Men's Swimming Weekly Release - Feb. 5Bulls Drop MAC Duals The Bulls were defeated by Eastern Michigan, 201-40 and Miami, 189-52 to conclude their regular season 2-8 and 0-7 in the Mid-American Conference. Senior Eric Stimson (North Tonawanda, NY) was UB's top performer at the meet. Stimson took second in the 200 backstroke in 1:52.68 while also placing seventh in the 200 individual medley in 1:57.87. Distance specialist Jason McLachlan (Arvada, CO) turned in a fourth place showing in the 500 freestyle in 4:40.42 and took fifth in the 1650 freestyle in 16:29.44. McLachlan and Stimson combined with Alan Lowe (Brownsville, TX) and Josh Pun (Edmonton, Alberta) for a fifth place showing in the 400 free relay in 3:14.73. Pun was the Bulls' top finisher in the 200 butterfly in 1:54.84 for fifth place. Pun also was seventh in the 200 free in 1:44.93. Sophomore diver Mike Lampo (Frewsburg, NY) placed sixth in the 3-meter competition with 218.30 points while also finishing seventh fromthe 1-meter board with 182.70. Up Next UB now sets its sights on the post-season meets beginning with the ECAC Championships February 22-24. The men's Mid-American Conference championships are scheduled for March 1-3 at Miami's Corwin M.
