DeKALB, IL - The University at Buffalo men's swim team dropped both ends of its Mid-American Conference tri-meet Saturday afternoon at Northern Illinois University. UB, now 3-5 overall and 1-4 in MAC competition, were swept 170-63 by the host Huskies and 203-36 by Toledo.

UB's first-year corps provided much of the offense for the Bulls. Freshman Jon Yarger (Centre Hill, PA/Penns Valley) led the Bulls with his fourth-place finish in the 200 backstroke turning a time of 2:00.01. Yarger also placed sixth in the 200 freestyle in 1:48.38.

Freshman Aviv Oren (Rishon Le-Zion, Israel/Makif A') also had a fourth-place finish for UB in the 200 breaststoke in 2:14.33. Oren also finished eighth in the 50 free with a 22.54 clocking. Dustin Hui (Gardner, MA/Gardner), another freshman, placed third in the 1650 freestyle in 16:47.92, his best time in the event this season, and fifth in the 500 freestyle in 4:52.54.

The Bulls close out the regular season next Saturday in Ypsilanti, MI for a tri-meet with Miami (Ohio) and host Eastern Michigan, last season's conference champions.
