UB's Winning Streak Stays Alive

The University at Buffalo's men's swimming and diving team remained undefeated in the Mid-American Conference (5-0) as they beat host Toledo, 127-114, and Northern Illinois, 150-91, in a MAC double dual meet this past weekend.

Coach Budd Termin's team had a repeat performance of last week's success as UB won nine out of 13 events in Toledo. Buffalo winners included Dan Hickey (Brockport, NY) (200 free - 1:41.51, 100 free - 46.41), John Nilles (Staten Island, NY) (50 free - 21:04), Jason McLachlan (Arvada, CO) (500 free - 4:43.82), Josh Pun (Edmonton, Alberta) (200 fly 1:55), Eric Stimson (North Tonawanda, NY) (200 back - 1:52.56), and Dave Sofer (Brooklyn, NY) (1-meter diving - 250.65 pts.). Hickey, Pun, Nilles, and Dexter Tatum (Gainesville, GA) were members of the winning 200 freestyle relay team with a time of 3:08.17.
