UB's lone victory in the meet was in the 200-yard backstroke as junior Luke Adams (Quinnesec, MI/Kingsford) remained undefeated in the event. Adams, who earlier this week earned the Mid-American Conference's Men's Swimmer and Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week awards, clocked a 1:57.11 showing en route to a one-and-a-half-second victory over St. Bonaventure's Dan Freeland.

Adams also competed in the 1,000-yard freestyle, racing against current Atlantic 10 Swimmer of the Week, Chris Ekimoff. Adams finished second in the race in 9:47.26, less than a second behind Ekimoff's 9:46.31.

Senior Kevin Gatley (Charlton, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:45.73. Sophomore Leandro Souza (Rio de Janiero, Brazil/Missouri State) also placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:20.79.

UB's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Adams, Kevin Schuster (Rochester, NY/Greece-Athena). Dave Harris (Rochester, NY/Greece-Arcadia) and Gatley also finished second in 3:15.72.

The Bulls return to action on February 4 when they travel to Eastern Michigan for the regular season finale at 1:00 p.m.
