Sy Wins Second MAC Swimming Award

BUFFALO, NY - For the second time this season, the University at Buffalo's Mark Sy (Scarborough, Ontario/Mary Ward CSS) has been named the Mid-American Conference men's swimmer of the week.
Sy led the Bulls with a pair of individual victories in UB's 114-62 win over Western New York rival Niagara on January 19. The senior won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:03.54 and later added a victory in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:59.65.
This is the second time this season that Sy has been named Swimmer Of The Week. He also won the honor in November after posting three victories against Ohio University in UB's home opener.
The Bulls host defending league champion Eastern Michigan at 3:00 pm on Friday, January 28.
