BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo men's swimming and diving team swept all 13 events to post a 141-63 victory over Canisius at the Koessler Center on Thursday afternoon. It was UB's first victory of the season as the Bulls improve to 1-2 while the Golden Griffins fall to 1-7.

Four Bulls won two individual events apiece to lead the charge for Buffalo.

Luke Adams (Quinnesec, MI/Kingsford) set a lifetime-best with his victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle. Adams turned in a 9:39.17 clocking, slicing eight seconds off his previous best mark. It was the third time this season that Adams has established a lifetime-best in the event. Adams won the event by more than two minutes over Canisius' Jon Sinski (11:44.37), the only other entrant in the race. Adams also posted a victory in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:55.40.

Jeff Hurst (Rochester, NY/Greece-Athena) rolled to pair of wins in two different disciplines showing his versatility as a valuable member of coach Budd Termin's squad. Hurst took the meet's sprint race, the 50-yard freestyle in 21.93 and then returned for a victory in a distance event, taking the 200-yard butterfly in 1:57.28. It was the first time this season that Hurst has competed in those two events.

Freshman diver Cassidy Lynch (Westminster, CO/Legacy) took both the one-meter and three-meter competitions. Lynch scored a season-best mark with his showing on the one-meter board with 300.45 points. He later scored 241.75 points for his six-dive program on the three-meter board.
