UB Men Win Second StraightBulls Record Fourth Shutout in VictoryBUFFALO, NY The University at Buffalo men's soccer team recorded their second-straight shutout with a 3-0 triumph over Delaware on Saturday. The Bulls, who shutout Siena College earlier this week, got on the board quickly, scoring in the ninth minute of play. Chris Vinci (Buffalo, NY/St. Joseph's) scored on a break away with an assist from Steve Butcher (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda). UB would score two more goals in the second half. Butcher scored his fifth goal of the season at the 59:29 mark on a pass from Sabastian Zawislan (Brampton, Ontario). In the 82nd minute, Tim Songer (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) scored his team-high eighth goal of the year on a penalty shot for the 3-0 final score. Goalkeeper Justin Deming (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hills) recorded three saves and his fourth shutout of the season. UB (6-3-1) will be in action again next weekend when they travel to play at MAC rivals Northern Illinois and Western Michigan. GAME SUMMARY |
