BUFFALO, NY – The Mid-American Conference has announced the 2007 Men's Soccer Academic All-MAC Team. Buffalo junior defender Dan Gwyther (London, England/Woodcote) was one of 12 players selected to the team, as voted on by faculty athletic representatives at MAC schools.

Gwyther, a management major, appeared in 14 matches for the Bulls, making 13 starts. A co-captain and anchor of Buffalo's central defense, Gwyther also showed his offensive prowess this season, finishing sixth on the team in points. He scored the overtime, game-winning goal for the Bulls on September 14 in a 2-1 victory at St. Bonaventure. For the second-straight season, Gwyther was named to the All-MAC Second Team. He was also named to the All-Tournament Team at the MAC Tournament and the UB Fall Classic. Gwyther is also the men's soccer team representative for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

To qualify for Academic All-MAC honors, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for their team. First-year students and transfers in their first year are not eligible for the award.
