McCallion Named First Team All-Conference

Bulls Midfielder Earns Postseason Honors

BUFFALO, NY — UB senior midfielder Brian McCallion (Ballston Spa, NY/Shenendehowa) was honored by the Mid-American Conference today as he was named to the All-MAC First Team by a vote of league coaches. The All-MAC team was released today, prior to the men's conference tournament this coming weekend.

McCallion was named to the all-conference second team the past two seasons, but has been a steady force in the Bulls' midfield this year, starting in all 16 games for UB. McCallion tied for the team lead with four goals this season, and also had two assists for 10 points on the year, the second-highest total on the team. He recorded two goals against Western Michigan in leading the Bulls to a 3-2 win over the Broncos and the team's first conference win of the season.

A four-year starter for UB, McCallion has also moved into the UB record books for his outstanding play during his career. He is currently 11th in career goals scored with 16, second in career assists with 17 and seventh in career points with 49.

McCallion will try and lead the Bulls this weekend in the MAC Tournament, which will be held on the UB campus. Buffalo will begin quarterfinal action against the Akron Zips on Friday, November 3 at 7:30 pm.
