KALAMAZOO, MI - The University at Buffalo men's soccer team won their fourth straight game and improved to 2-1 in the MAC with a decisive 5-1 win at Western Michigan.

UB jumped out to the first lead on a goal by Jay Page (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) in the seventh minute. Jason Seymour (Glenmont, NY/Bethlehem) scored UB's second goal in the 43rd minute, just before halftime as the Bulls led 2-0 at the break.

In the second half, the Broncos cut the lead in half with a goal three minutes into the second half, but the Bulls charged back. Steve Butcher (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) scored in the 58th minute to give UB a cushion in their lead. Geoff Thompson (Clarence, NY/Clarence) then scored his first career goal on an assist from John Shannon (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) at the 79:30 mark. Less than a minute later, Butcher recorded his second goal of the game and his ninth of the season at the 80:19 mark for the 5-1 Bulls win.

UB improves to 8-3-1 overall and 2-1 in the MAC.
