BOWLING GREEN, OH - The University at Buffalo men's soccer team dropped their second-straight game with a 3-0 conference loss at Bowling Green on Friday behind a goal and two assists from Falcons forward Matt Lyons.

The first half was a defensive battle as neither team could find the net. UB managed just two shots in the half and Bowling Green registered the only shot on goal in the half. The second half started out in the same fashion before the Falcons found the net in the 62^nd minute. Detrick Matthews scored the first goal of the game off a pass from Matt Lyons, who would record two assists on the day, giving the Falcons the 1-0 lead. Gene Braxton would add to the Bowling Green lead with a goal in the 83^rd minute for a 2-0 lead. Lyons would then cap off a great game for him, scoring the final goal with less than a minute to play for the 3-0 Falcons win.

With the loss, Buffalo falls to 5-8-2 on the season and 1-5-0 in the Mid-American Conference while Bowling Green improves to 7-7-0 overall and 3-2-0 in the MAC. It was the fifth time this year UB was shutout and the fourth time in conference play.

UB will wrap up the regular season on Sunday in a non-conference game at Wright State, beginning at 12 noon. The Bulls will then serve as hosts for the Mid-American Conference tournament beginning with quarterfinal action on Friday, November 3.
