Marshall Rolls Past BuffaloHUNTINGTON, WV - The Buffalo men's soccer team dropped its fourth MAC contest of the season on Sunday as it fell to the Marshall Thundering Herd by a score of 4-1 at Sam Hood Field. The Bulls were not able to hold on to an early lead as they lost for the seventh time in eight games.
In the 25th minute of play senior Cheick Diarra (Hillsborough, NJ/John Bartram) took a shot from 10 yards out that found its way past the Marshall goalkeeper. The Bulls would hold that lead until a late first-half goal by Marshall had the game tied at the half. The Thundering Herd scored three more times in the second half for their final regular season MAC game, before they depart for Conference USA next season. In the loss sophomore goalkeeper Dan Bell (Brampton, ON/Notre Dame) had seven saves, but did let up a season-worst four goals. Senior Mirnes Biscevic (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) led the Bulls with four shots. With the loss the Bulls move to 7-7-1 on the season and 1-3 in MAC play. Marshall improves to 9-6-2 on the year and they finish the MAC portion of their schedule with a 3-2-1 record. The Bulls will be back in action on Friday, October 29 for their final regular season game,
which will be a home contest with Western Michigan. The game will begin at 7:00 pm at RAC Field and
will be the final regular season game for the Bulls four seniors.
