Men's Soccer Falls To Kentucky

Bulls shutout by the Wildcats, 2-0

LEXINGTON, KY - The University at Buffalo men's soccer suffered a 2-0 road loss to the Kentucky Wildcats on Friday evening. The Bulls were unable to rebound from a first half in which they allowed a pair of goals.

Riley O'Neill put the Wildcats ahead in the eighth minute with his sixth goal of the season. Then in the 24th minute, Thomas Senecal headed in a free kick to give Kentucky a 2-0 lead.

Greg Galemore (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) led the Bulls with two shots, while Mirnes Biscevic (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham/Monroe CC) and Erik Jaanimagi (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) each recorded one.

Senior goalkeeper Chris Vavrina (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) made three saves on the night for UB.

Buffalo - which concludes its regular season on Sunday afternoon at Northern Illinois - falls to 0-5-0 within the Mid-American Conference and 1-10-3 overall. UB has been shutout five straight games, having last scored on September 26th against Siena.
