Bulls Come Up Empty Against Kentucky

Wildcats shut out Bulls 3-0

BUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo men's soccer team lost their fourth consecutive game Sunday afternoon, as it dropped a 3-0 contest to Kentucky at RAC Field. The Bulls were not able to get a goal despite only being outshot, 12-10. Sophomore goalkeeper Dan Bell (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame) recorded four saves in the loss. After scoring 18 goals in their first eight games, the Bulls have now been shut out in their last three.

Kentucky gained the momentum on the road right from the start of the game. At the nine minute mark, the MAC's leading goal scorer, Jamal Shteiwi, scored the first of his two goals on the day. The Wildcats would score another goal less than two minute later. The scored remained 2-0 for most of the game until Shteiwi scored his second goal in the 73rd minute of play.

Buffalo (6-4-1) will be back in action when it travels to Bowling Green (0-11-0) on Friday to take on the Falcons at 2:30 pm.
