BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo men's soccer team lost a heart-breaking 1-0 decision in double overtime to the visiting Bowling Green Falcons tonight at RAC Field. Bowling Green's P.J. Behan knocked in the only goal of the game on a scramble in front of the net two minutes and 35 seconds into the second overtime period. Buffalo senior goalkeeper Chris Vavrina (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) had made a career-high 10 saves in net prior to the goal, making his first start in five weeks since being sidelined with an injury.

The Bulls finished the game with 12 shots on goal, including three in the first overtime period. Junior Mirnes Biscevic (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham/Monroe CC) was stopped point blank by BGSU goalkeeper David DeGraff just minutes into the first extra session. Biscevic led the Bulls with three shots on goal, along with senior Patrick Beckley (Poughquag, NY/Arlington). DeGraff finished with four saves for the Falcons to pick up his third shutout of the season. BGSU owned a 19-12 advantage in shots and an 11-7 advantage in corner kicks for the game.

The Bulls will now hit the road for a 1 pm match at Western Michigan on Sunday, October 5. They return home for their final regular season home game of the year on Sunday, October 12 against Marshall at 3 pm.
