BOSTON, MA – The UB men's soccer team pulled off another win Sunday when it defeated Boston University (3-5-1), 2-0. The visiting Bulls (10-1-0) earned their 10th win of the season, a feat that has not been matched by the team since 1998.

Junior Andrae Clarke (Kingston, Jamaica/DeWitt Clinton) continued his breakout season as he netted two goals on two shots for the Bulls. Clarke scored first at the 20:22 mark with a feed from junior Erik Jaanimagi (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) at centerfield. Clarke then led a breakaway all the way to the Terrier end and launched a shot to the upper left side of the net. With a early 1-0 lead, the Bulls defense locked in and shut down BU, only allowing four shots on goal. Midway through the second half, Clarke tipped in his second goal of the game, cleaning up a mad scramble at the goal line after senior Matt Stuczynski (Erie, PA/Cathedrel Prep) and sophomore Lee Catchpole (Norwich, England/Bungay) had attempted to score. They both picked up the assist on Clarke's goal. Boston University was led by Sedrick Chin and Jerryd Goldberg with four shots each.

With his 10th win, junior goalkeeper Daniel Bell (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame) leapfrogged into prestigous company, as he currently sits tied with former UB goalkeepers Marty Pavone and Mark Celeste for third all-time in UB wins with 18. He also earned his fifth shutout of the season, making four saves. Terriers goalkeeper Chad Comroe made three saves.

UB became the first team in the nation with 10 wins this season, and eagerly anticipates currently fourth-ranked Akron, who is scheduled to visit UB Stadium Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 pm.
