Men's Soccer Edged 1-0 In OTBUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo men's soccer lost a 1-0 overtime decision to Mid-American Conference rival Bowling Green on Sunday afternoon. The loss drops the Bulls to 3-4-1 overall and 0-2 in the MAC. Bowling Green improves to 3-2-1 overall and 1-1 in the MAC. Bowling Green's Tony Malik ripped a shot from outside the top of the box that slipped through Buffalo goalkeeper Brian Wozniak's (Canton, Michigan/Plymouth Salem) hands with 4:15 left in the first overtime period to five the Falcons their first conference win of the season. For the Bulls, the loss was their third straight, after going unbeaten in the previous four games. Buffalo hasn't scored a goal in the last three games, its longest dry spell since midway through the 2000 season when they dropped three-straight games. Wozniak recorded four saves on the day while Bowling Green's David DeGraff picked up the win with six stops. Buffalo and Bowling Green had ten shots apiece while UB held a 7-6 advantage in corner kicks. The Bulls will return to action on Friday, October 5 when then host Marshall at 7 p.m. |
