NIAGARA FALLS, NY - The University at Buffalo men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision at Niagara on Wednesday afternoon for its first loss of the season. The loss snapped the Bulls' seven game unbeaten streak.

Buffalo got on the board first when Brian Knapp (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) scored an unassisted goal at the 35:32 mark to give the Bulls a 1-0 lead. Niagara tied the game less than four minutes later when Dan O'Shea headed the ball past UB goalkeeper Dan Bell (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame).

The game would remain tied until the 72nd minute when Kwame Oduro scored the gamewinner via a scissor kick from 12 yards out. Matt Stedman scored an insurance goal for the Purple Eagles in the 84th minute.

Bell was charged with his first loss of the season after stopping only three of six shots. Niagara goalkeeper Eric Sullivan made three saves to earn the win.

Buffalo (6-1-1) will try to rebound from Wednesday's loss when it hosts Oneonta on Friday night at RAC Field. Niagara improved to 1-6-0 with the win.
