Alex Marrello (Burnaby, British Columbia/Alpha Secondary) opened the scoring just 41 seconds into the second half and Dan Bulley (Exeter, England/St. Peter's) levelled the match in the 85th minute to account for the two Buffalo goals.

After a scoreless first half, Marrello became the first multi-goal scorer of the year for Buffalo (5-2-1) when he scored within the first minute of the second half. Martin John (Ottawa, Ontario/Lisgar Collegiate) began the play with a pass to Dominic Oppong (Scarborough, Ontario/Cardinal Newman) who touched the ball to Marrello who fired a rocket past the Bison goalkeeper to give UB a 1-0 lead.
