BUFFALO, NY - For the third time in the first four weeks of the season, the University at Buffalo men's soccer team were honored by the Mid-American Conference, as senior goalkeeper Daniel Bell (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame) was named MAC Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday morning. Bell continues the trend of two consecutive weeks in which a Bull has been bestowed the weekly award.

Bell has been masterful for the Bulls in net this season, carrying over much of his success from last season. Bell posted three consecutive shutouts over a five-day period, lowering his overall GAA from 0.69 to 0.40 and remaining atop the Mid-American Conference in the category. He made 12 saves in the three shutouts, logging in over 282 minutes between the pipes. Bell also leads the MAC in save percentage with .906 and is tied for first in shutouts with four.

Bell and rest of the Bulls squad host Duquesne Friday under the lights at UB Stadium starting at 7 p.m. The team will then travel to Siena in its fifth game in nine days. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
