Men's and Women's Soccer Games To Be Broadcast on WLVL 1340

Games are part of UB's expanded radio coverage in 2005-06

BUFFALO, NY - As part of an expanded radio broadcast schedule in 2005-06, the University at Buffalo has announced that the women's soccer game against Miami (OH) on Friday, September 23 and the men's soccer game against Canisius on Friday, September 30 will be broadcast on WLVL 1340 AM on a tape-delayed basis. Chris Brown, current editor of Bills Digest and a former collegiate soccer standout at Geneseo, will call the play-by-play for both games from UB Stadium.

Both games begin at 7 pm and will be broadcast immediately following high school football broadcasts on WLVL. The women's game will air on September 23 immediately following the Akron at Medina high school football game, and the men's game will air on September 30 immediately following the Newfane at Medina high school football game. Both football games begin at 7:30 pm.

The Bulls' expanded radio broadcast schedule this year includes broadcasts of all women's basketball games - both home and away - and four volleyball matches on WLVL. In addition, WLVL will also be the home for up to six broadcasts of other UB athletic events during the winter and spring seasons. Those events will be announced at a later date.

All UB radio broadcasts are available to listen to free of charge from the Bulls' website via Teamline.
