Buffalo Golden Against GriffsBUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo men's soccer team remained undefeated on the season by shutting out Canisius, 1-0, on Wednesday night at the Demske Sports Complex. Sophomore goalkeeper Daniel Bell (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame) earned his fourth shutout of the season, by making one save on the night.
Canisius struggled offensively, but was given a solid effort by goalkeeper Adam Sleyzak who had three saves in the game. With the loss, Canisius drops to 1-5-0 on the season. The Bulls' defense has continued to be spectacular, allowing only one goal through the
team's first five games. With the win, the Bulls (4-0-1) are off to their best start since the 1998 season
when they won their first five games in a row. The Bulls will continue their five-game road trip on
Friday afternoon at Rider beginning at 4:00 pm. |
