OLEAN, NY - After playing four straight home games to start off their season, the University at Buffalo men’s soccer team defeated St. Bonaventure on their home field Wednesday, 3-1, to tally their first road win of the season, while also remaining at a perfect 5-0-0.

The Bulls visited the goal early and often, as they blasted the first two goals of the game ten minutes into the game. Junior Andrae Clark (Kingston, Jamaica/Dewitt Clinton) scored his second goal of the season at the 9:24 mark. One minute later, the Bulls found the net once again, as junior Brian Knapp (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) blasted home his second goal of the season on his only shot of the game. The Bonnies struck back with 11 minutes left in the half, as Andy Garcia scored on a free kick that would give the Bonnies some hopeful momentum entering the second half.

With the score 2-1, the Bulls defense took over, as they would only allow one shot the entire half. Senior Greg Galemore (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) put down any hopes of a Bonnie comeback by blasting his team-leading fourth goal of the season. He also had four shots, keeping the pressure tight on the Bonnies defense.

UB's record stands at 5-0-0, reminiscent to the start by last year's team that started their season 6-0-1. They ultimately made it to the Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinals.

UB has a day off before traveling to Statesboro, Georgia for the Georgia Southern Tournament. They will play Centenary on Saturday, Sept. 17, then face Western Illinois on Sunday, Sept. 18.
