Bulls Blank Army, 2-0BUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo men's soccer team shut out Army, 2-0, at RAC Field on Thursday. Justin Higgins (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) made his first goal of the season count as it was the game-winner in the 65th minute. The sophomore midfielder corralled the ball and scored in traffic to put the Bulls ahead 1-0. Mike Peplinski (Syracuse, NY/Liverpool) added an insurance goal less than three minutes later when he ripped a penalty kick past Army goalkeeper Kevin Larrabee.
With the win, Buffalo improves to 2-2-1 on the season. Army falls to 0-4-1. The Bulls will
next play at Niagara on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The game is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m. |
