PITTSBURGH, PA - Buffalo's men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 loss at the hands of the Temple Owls in Saturday's contest at the Duquesne Classic. Patrick Beckley (Poughquag, NY/Arlington) and Dave Pidgeon (Dorval, Quebec/Bishop Whelan) were named as UB's representatives to the All-Tournament Team.

UB's lone goal was scored by freshman Matthew Okopny (Farmington, MI/Farmington) with five minutes remaining. Beckley picked up an assist on the scoring play.

Freshmen goalkeeper Daniel Bell (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame) played the final 22:28 and did not allow a goal, extending his shutout streak to 67:28. Bell replaced starting goalkeeper Chris Vavrina (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) following the Owls' third goal.

Buffalo, which is 0-2, next returns home to RAC Field for four consecutive contests as part of the UB Fall Classic. The first match takes place on Friday, when Central Connecticut State visits Buffalo in a game beginning at 7 p.m.
