Dan Stevens Selected in MISL Draft
In two seasons at UB after transferring from Oneonta State, Stevens scored four goals and recorded nine assists. Following his senior season, Stevens was named to the All-MAC First Team and the MAC All-Tournament Team. Only one other player in the MAC, Tom Oatley of Western Michigan, was taken in this year's MISL College Draft. "Dan Stevens played really outstanding for us in the last half of our season and he certainly deserves to play at the pro level," Buffalo head coach John Astudillo said. "He is a quality player and has the technical ability, the speed, the fitness and, most importantly, the intelligence for it. I think he will do well if he pays attention to the little details. He is probably one of the best 1-v-1 players that we have ever had, and we have had some very good ones." The MISL is currently organized in a single table playing a 30 game schedule. Traditionally, the season begins in October and ends in March. The Philadelphia KiXX are in their 12th season and their sixth as a member of the MISL. The KiXX have led the league in attendance three times and have won two MISL Championships (2002 and last season).
