Gavin McInerney is beginning his first season as a member of the Buffalo coaching staff, his primary duties will be working with the UB goalkeepers. McInerney's playing experience includes time spent at both the Division I college and European top-flight levels. McInerney played goalkeeper collegiately at the University of Memphis in 2004 and 2005. In 2004, he was part of a Tiger squad that went 16-4-1, winning both the regular season and conference championships in Conference USA and earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament. In 2006, McInerney returned to his native Ireland to play for St. Patrick's Athletic Football Club of the Eircom Premier Division, the highest-level of soccer in Ireland. In their long and storied history in Irish soccer, St. Pats have won the Irish Premier Divison seven times and the FAI Cup twice. A native of Dublin, Ireland, McInerney currently resides in Buffalo, NY. |
