Just when St. Bonaventure appeared to be pulling away Saturday night, the Bulls rallied back from a nine point deficit with 7:18 to go in the second half to take the lead for the first time with 1:01 to go, 55-53. Senior Mike Martinho (Rahway, NJ/Union Catholic) had a chance to tie the game with :09 left on the clock but could not connect as the Bulls fell, 63-59.

Three UB players scored in double figures with sophomore Zaid Alkhas (Amman Jordan/Islamik Scientific College) leading the way with 20 points. Alkhas, who didn't play in the first half, also grabbed six rebounds and had two blocked shots in just 18 minutes of play. Seniors Rasaun Young (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) and Scott McMillin (Wichita, KS/Bishop Carroll) pitched in 13 and 11 points, respectively.

The Bulls shot 39.3 (22-of-56) percent from the floor as compared to 41.1 (23-of-56) percent by the Bonnies.

The Bulls next action will be on Thursday, December 18 when they travel to the Carrier Dome to face the Orangemen of Syracuse. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm.
