Bulls Fall Short at St. Bonaventure


Just when St. Bonaventure appeared to be pulling away Saturday night, the Bulls rallied back from a nine point deficit with 7:18 to go in the second half to take the lead for the first time with 1:01 to go, 55-53. Senior Mike Martinho (Rahway, NJ/Union Catholic) had a chance to tie the game with :09 left on the clock but could not connect as the Bulls fell, 63-59.

Alkhas, who didn't play in the first half, also grabbed six rebounds and had two blocked shots in just 18 minutes of play. Seniors Rasaun Young (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) and Scott McMillin (Wichita, KS/Bishop Carroll) pitched in 13 and 11 points, respectively.

The Bulls shot 39.3 (22-of-56) percent from the floor as compared to 41.1 (23-of-56) percent by the Bonnies.

The Bulls next action will be on Thursday, December 18 when they travel to the Carrier Dome to face the Orangemen of Syracuse. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm.
