UB Falls to Falcons Again

BOWLING GREEN, OHIO - UB dropped its second game of the year to the Falcons of Bowling Green, falling 84-61 on the Falcons home court. Earlier this season, Bowling Green defeated the Bulls 62-59 in a close game at Alumni Arena back on Jan. 6.

Both teams shot poorly from the field in the first half, as the Bulls managed just 26.9% from the field on 7-of-26 shooting. Bowling Green wasn't much better, hitting 10-of-31 (.323) from the field but took a 32-20 advantage into the lockerrooms at halftime.

The Falcons caught fire in the second half, hitting 65% from the field (19-of-29) and extended their lead over the Bulls. That second half shooing for BGSU also included 6-for-8 from three-point range.

Keith McLeod was the game's high scorer, netting 23 points for Bowling Green on 8-of-15 shooting and 5-of-7 from three points range. DeMar Moore added 16 points and a game-high eight rebounds and Anthony Stacey added 14 points.

UB (4-22, 0-15) was led by Nikolai Alexeev (Minsk, Belarus) with 16 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Louis Campbell (Rahway, NJ/Rahway) added 14 points for the Bulls in the loss.
