Bulls Notch Fourth Win of the Year


KAILUA-KONA, HI- UB rallied from a two-point halftime deficit and sustained a late second half rally by Hawaii-Hilo to secure a 68-62 win at the Hawaii-Hilo Tournament.

The Bulls trailed 31-29 at the half and got down by as many as six early in the second half before coming back to take the lead. The Bulls used a 10-3 run to take the lead with a jumper by Will Campbell (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) at the 15:11 mark. Hawaii-Hilo regained the lead briefly, but a three-pointer by Koran Godwin (Roselle, NJ/Abraham Clark) with 9:29 remaining gave the Bulls a 48-46 lead. UB used an 11-0 run to push that lead to ten points, 56-46, before Hawaii-Hilo made a comeback.

The lead twice got down to three points. The first time, Louis Campbell (Rahway, NJ/Rahway) responded with a three-pointer to push it back to six. After a three-pointer by Hawaii-Hilo, Will Campbell made a jumper and the Bulls held off the comeback bid for the 68-62 victory.

UB was led by Louis Campbell with 19 points and seven rebounds amd Will Campbell contributed six points and a game-high 12 rebounds. John Kleidon (Oak Park, IL/Oak Park) added 11 points off the bench.
