BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo men's basketball team isn't the only team in the Mid-American Conference that is off to a good start. Ten of the league's 13 teams have records above .500 which translates to a conference ranking of seventh in the Jeff Sagarin Basketball Rankings.

As of December 12th, the MAC was ranked above the BIG EAST (8th) and the Pac-10 (9th) conferences. Teams from the Mid-American Conference have a combined record of 44-20 - including a stellar 29-4 mark in home games.

In addition to the Sagarin Rankings, the Collegiate Basketball News Ratings has Buffalo ranked 83rd in the country. Kent State at 10 and Miami at 71 are the only other MAC schools ranked above UB.

Buffalo will look to continue their success on Saturday night when they face Canisius at the Koessler Center. Tip-off is slated for 8:45 following the women's game between UB and Canisius.
