UB Revamps Men's Basketball Coaching Staff

Eisenberg, Robinson, McMillin join staff; Valenti, Torgalski earn new titles

The University at Buffalo men's basketball team has announced changes in its coaching staff.

Frank Valenti and Ron Torgalski, who came to UB five years ago with head coach Tim Cohane, have accepted new roles in the program. Valenti has been named Associate Head Coach while Torgalski was named Director of Basketball Operations while he completes work on his Master's degree.

"Those two coaches have worked diligently for five years to give our program respect at the Division I level," said head coach Tim Cohane.

Cohane also announced the hiring of Eric "Rock" Eisenberg, former head coach of Tilden High School in Brooklyn, Dean Cooper, a graduate assistant with the program last year, and former standout players Kelvin Robinson and Scott McMillin.

Eisenberg has coached many of New York City's best players, including former North Carolina star and recent NBA selection, Ed Cota. Cooper joins the program on a full-time basis after working an administrative assistant last year. Robinson, who has played overseas for the last two years after graduating from UB in 1995, will act as the Bulls' Recruiting Coordinator while McMillin, one of last year's captains, has been named Strength and Conditioning Coach while pursuing his master's degree.

The Bulls enter the Mid-American Conference this season after finishing 15-13 last year.
