Former UB Commit Drafted by Detroit Pistons
Jonas Jerebko, a 2005 signee, selected in second round
BUFFALO, NY – Jonas Jerebko, a former University at Buffalo signee, was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the second round of Thursday night's NBA draft. Jerebko, signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Bulls basketball program, along with Calvin Betts, Max Boudreau and Adekambi Laleye, on November 11, 2005, but later decided to sign a contract to play professionally in Sweden.
Jerebko played professionally in Sweden and Italy before being drafted by the Pistons. He became the first Swedish national player to be selected in the NBA.
