Witherspoon Wins Another Coaching Award
ENDICOTT, NY - Buffalo men's basketball head coach Reggie Witherspoon was named the Men's Division I Co-Coach of the Year by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York. He shares the award with Manhattan head coach Bobby Gonzalez. Witherspoon, who was also named the collegeinsider.com Mid-Major Coach of the Year and Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year, led the Bulls to a 17-12 overall record and an 11-7 mark in the MAC in 2003-04. The nine-win improvement in MAC play was the second-biggest turnaround in the history of the conference. In addition, the Bulls' 12-win improvement was the second-best turnaround among all Division I schools this past year. The Basketball Coaches Association of New York is an organization that is made up of basketball
coaches of all scholastic and collegiate levels throughout the entire State of New York. |
