Robinson Named to All-MAC Team
Robinson, who has started 28 games this year, improved as the season progressed. He averaged 16.3 points in MAC play – ranking fourth in the conference. His signature game came at Northern Illinois on February 5 when he scored a career-high 35 points, including eight three-pointers. For his efforts he was named the MAC East Division Player of the Week on February 11. He has scored 20 or more points in a game seven times this year. Robinson has knocked down a team-best 54 three-pointers on the season – 12 more than his first two seasons combined. He has continued his stellar defensive play as he has totaled 52 steals on the year to become just the third UB player in the Bulls’ modern Division I era (since 1991) to collect 50 or more steals in consecutive seasons (Louis Campbell ad Daniel Gilbert). Robinson’s selection marks the seventh straight year that a UB player has earned All-MAC honors. This is the first year Robinson has been honored.
Buffalo will play Miami (OH) in the opening round of the First Energy Mid-American Conference Tournament in Cleveland on Wednesday night.
