BUFFALO, NY ­ The University at Buffalo men's basketball team will host a Mid-American Conference pre-quarterfinal game for the second straight year on Monday night at 7 pm at Alumni Arena. The Bulls opponent won't be determined until after Saturday's MAC results.

The Division of Athletics is again making it easy for UB students to come and provide a huge boost to the Bulls, who need to win to advance to Cleveland's Gund Arena for the remainder of the MAC Tournament (March 10-12). The Division of Athletics has purchased 2,500 student tickets which will be distributed to UB undergraduate students with valid ID on Monday night. Doors will open at 5:00 pm and UB students are encouraged to arrive early to get the best seats.

"The atmosphere in the building last year when Northern Illinos came here was a huge reason we advanced to the quarterfinals," said UB head coach Reggie Witherspoon. "I hope that our students and the Western New York community can give us the same kind of lift on Monday as we begin our journey in search of our ultimate goal of winning a Mid-American Conference championship."

Tickets for the game are priced at $18, $16 and $14 and are available at tickets.com in Tops Friendly Markets or charge by phone at 1-888-223-6000. Tickets will go on sale at the UB Ticket Office in Alumni Arena starting on Friday at 9 am.
