BUFFALO, NYOn Sunday evening, Buffalo and the Mighty Maniacs will honor its four seniors prior to squaring off against Ohio in the last game of the regular season. The Bulls are looking to carry a win into the Mid-American Conference Tournament and defeat Ohio in Alumni Arena for the second-straight year.

Seniors Yassin Idbihi (Tangier, Morocco), Parnell Smith (Indianapolis, IN/Pike), Darwin Young (Buffalo, NY/Hutch Tech) and Barnard Onyenucheya (Bronx, NY/John F. Kennedy) are looking to win their final game at Alumni Arena in seeking revenge versus the Ohio Bobcats who defeated the Bulls in January.

Idbihi is coming off his 12th double-double of the season as he recorded 23 points and 10 rebounds in UB’s loss to Akron on Thursday. With nine points, Idbihi will become the first Bull ever to score 1,500 points while grabbing 800 rebounds in a career. The Bulls will look to be aggressive offensively after being held to just 51 points (their second-lowest total this season) in their last match-up with Ohio.

Ohio is coming off a senior night victory against the Miami RedHawks in which it didn’t allow a field goal in the final 15:58. Senior Whitney Davis led the way with 15 points while Jerome Tillman scored 10 points and added a team-high eight rebounds in the win. The Bobcats boast a starting five that averages over 65 points per game. All five average in double-figures, leading the way for the second-highest scoring team in the MAC at 74 points per game.

Last season, Buffalo sent the Bobcats out of Alumni Arena with their tails between their legs after a 70-51 victory in front of a fully-loaded Sea of Blue home crowd. The Bulls have won five straight home finales dating back to the 2000-2001 campaign. Akron was the victim last year, falling to the Bulls on senior night, 83-71.

Tip-off is slated for 6 pm. The game can be heard locally on WWKB 1520 AM or online at www.buffalobulls.com.
