Turner Battle Named MAC Most Valuable Player by collegeinsider.com

Senior point guard is the first Buffalo player to earn the honor

BUFFALO, NY – Turner Battle (Kernersville, NC/East Forsyth) was named the Mid-American Conference Most Valuable Player by collegeinsider.com. He is the first UB player to earn the distinction.

Battle is averaging 15.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He has started 24 of 25 games and has helped lead the Bulls to an 18-7 record. He has been selected as the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week three times this season.

Prior to the season, collegeinsider.com named Battle to the preseason Mid-Major All-America team.

The Mid-American Conference will announce its selection for Player of the Year at the conclusion of the regular season.
