Men's Basketball Game Against Akron Announced as MAC Game of the Week

March 5th game will tip at 4 pm and air locally on WNLO UPN 23

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's basketball game against Akron on March 5 at Alumni Arena has been named the Mid-American Conference Game of the Week and will air on Fox Sports Net Ohio and locally on WNLO UPN 23. Originally scheduled to tip-off at 2 pm, the game has been changed to a 4 pm start to accommodate television.

Paul Peck will handle the play-by-play duties with Jeff Phelps adding commentary.

It will be a key contest that could determine which team gets the bye in the opening round of the MAC Tournament or even possibly the MAC East Division crown. It will also be the final regular season home game for seniors Turner Battle (Kernersville, NC/East Forsyth), Jason Bird (Ypsilanti, MI/Ypsilanti), Mark Bortz (Commerce Township, MI/Walled Lake Central) and Daniel Gilbert (Detroit, MI/Cass Technical).
