Bulls Start Stretch Run With Bowling Green Tonight UB looking to start a new winning streak
The Bulls will look to start a new winning streak after having their nine-game winning streak snapped at Ball State on Sunday. Bowling Green is 14-10 overall and 7-4 in the MAC. Buffalo has been playing its best defense over the past few games. The Bulls are allowing opponents to score an average of 49.2 points over the last five games, holding Toledo (43), Northern Illinois (46) and Eastern Michigan (49) to less than 50 points. It marks the first time since the introduction of the shot clock that a UB team has three opponents to less than 50 points in the same season. For the season, the Bulls are holding opponents to an average of 61.1 points per game. Since joining the MAC in 1998, Buffalo has had only one season in which it held opponents to less than 70 points (2001-02, 69.6 ppg). The Bulls will be looking for retaliation against a Bowling Green squad that handed UB its first conference loss back on January 10 at Anderson Arena. Tipoff for Wednesday’s game is at 7:00 pm. Tickets are available at the Alumni Arena ticket office or by calling 1-877-UB-THERE.
