Bracket Buster Game To Be Carried By WNLOBUFFALO, NY The University at Buffalo men's basketball participation in ESPN's Bracket Buster III on Saturday, Feb. 19 will be televised live in Western New York. Buffalo will play at Fresno State on Saturday with tipoff at 7 pm. The game is being produced by ESPN and will be televised live in the Buffalo market by WNLO (UPN 23). The game will also be available nationally as part of ESPN's Full Court package for those outside Western New York. For the past three seasons ESPN has set aside a Saturday in late February to put the national spotlight on teams college basketball fans may have heard of, and read about, but have not seen. Teams that in a few weeks could become one of those special outfits that derail a high seed from advancing to the Final Four. The field has grown from 18 teams the first season to 46 in 2003 and to 64 this season, with the strong possibility of more teams and more TV in the future. The UB Division of Athletics is sponsoring a gathering to watch the game on Saturday night
at 6:30 pm at Buffalo Wild Wings at 3035 Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst. Raffle giveaways at
the event will include four tickets to the season finale versus Akron on March 5th, a Bulls' replica jersey
and an NCAA basketball prize pack. |
