The Bulls are meeting Ball State for the second time this season as it is one of two schools from the MAC West that UB plays twice. Buffalo defeated the Cardinals earlier this season, 75-64.

Ball State is 7-12 overall and 3-8 in MAC play. The Cardinals are relying on the play of junior Skip Mills, who leads the team with 18.5 points per contest.

The Bulls are 15-7 on the year and 5-6 in the conference. UB is led by senior Calvin Cage (Capitol Heights, MD/Bladensburg) who is averaging 17.7 points per game on the season. Junior Yassin Idbihi (Tangier, Morocco/Schloss Hagerhof) is second on the team in scoring at 14.4 points per game and first on the team at 6.8 boards per contest.
