Buffalo to Host Youngstown State in O’Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters

Bulls will face Penguins on February 23 at Alumni Arena

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team will host Youngstown State in the 2008 O'Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters on Saturday, February 23 at Alumni Arena.

This is the fifth year the Bulls are participating in the event and the second straight season they are hosting. Buffalo is 2-2 in BracketBuster games after defeating Indiana State in 2004 and Fresno State in 2005 and falling to Iona in 2006 and Detroit in 2007.

Youngstown State is no stranger to the UB basketball program as this will be the 24th meeting between the schools. The two teams last met on December 6, 2003 at Alumni Arena. The Bulls defeated the Penguins, 86-66.

A member of the Horizon League, Youngstown State is 7-15 on the season. The Penguins have dropped six straight games.

The Bulls will play at Northern Illinois on Tuesday night looking to snap their nine-game losing streak. Buffalo is 6-14 overall on the season.

The start time for the game is yet to be determined. Tickets can be purchased at the Alumni Arena Ticket Office or by calling 716-645-6666.
