Libomi Leaves UB Men's Basketball TeamBUFFALO, NY - Junior forward Maliso Libomi (Malakoff, France) has left the University at Buffalo men's basketball program to be with his family in France. Libomi, who has completed his degree requirements as a fifth-year junior (he redshirted last season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament), has left the team to be with his pregnant wife who is expecting their first child next month. "Maliso and his wife are going through a difficult time and there have been some complications with the pregnancy," said UB head coach Reggie Witherspoon. "It is clearly best for Maliso to return home and tend to family matters. He already has enough credits to graduate and leaves Buffalo with what he came here for and that's a quality education." Libomi was averaging 2.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game while appearing
in ten games this season for the Bulls. He had started the previous two games
before not making the trip to Western Michigan to return home to France. |
